The players and parents in Ladner were blessed by the warmth of the sunshine on Friday evening as the BC Baseball Coaches Caravan hit the diamond for more family fun.

Ladner founding member James Paxton and current president Grant Laidlaw were on site to witness the enthusiasm that 225 parents and players brought out to prime the 2018 baseball season. There was an aura of pride surrounding the two as they took in the evidence of strong growth in the Ladner baseball community.

One of the many highlights of the Coaches Caravan is the inclusion of parents as they get on field with their sons and daughters to work on athletic skills. Youth baseball is a sport that encourages an active lifestyle on and off the diamond. Having parents participate in the Coaches Caravan not only empowers them to join the players in the stands but it also tools them with sound drills and techniques to apply as coaches on field and at home. BC Baseball continues to uphold the commitment to the grassroots of baseball by providing this experience at no cost to participants or the host association.
