13U PeeWee Division Overview

Overview

2023 Season birth years: 2010 and 2011

The 13U (PeeWee) Division offers a tiered spring program for interested players at the AAA, AA and A levels as well as a competitive summer program for those selected. Teams will play other associations during the spring season.

The level of play advances in this division with the introduction of leadoffs, dropped 3^rd strike, balks, infield flies and base paths set at 70’. There will be more of a focus on baseball strategy and matching players skill sets to positional play. Fair play rules will also change. The goal will continue to be developing skills and fostering a love of the sport.

Spring Season

All of the LMBA 13U programs will begin in the spring season. Players must participate in this program to be eligible in the Summer Program.

AAA: This is designed for experienced players and the most competitive program of the division. This team will play a single season from April to August with BC Minor interlock league. Players must be able to travel throughout the season and play through the month of August. Try-outs for this team will be February 24th and 25th (must attend both sessions).

AA: This competitive team will play from April to June within the BC Minor interlock schedule with other Fraser Valley associations. Try-outs for this team will be March 2nd and 3rd (must attend both sessions). There will be a summer competitive team from July to August, with try-outs mid Spring.

A: This team(s) will play from April to June within the BC Minor Interlock League and play with other Fraser Valley associations. Players will be drafted to teams in mid March after the AAA/AA selections have been completed. The number of A teams will be determined by enrollment numbers.
