Upcoming Registration Timelines
Fall, Spring and Summer Seasons
LMBA operates in spring, summer and fall seasons and all three will require a formal registration process be completed by interested participants.
Fall 2024 - registration will be open August 12 - 30 for the 9U to 15U divisions (note fall operates on the same birth year allocation as Spring 2025)
Spring 2025 - registration typically opens in late November/early December for returning participants and then all interested early in the new year.
Summer 2025 - those interested in participating in the 8U and older summer ball competitive season will be required to register for the tryout process. 7U often runs a small fun summer program in July which will be open to all interested. Information on summer programs will be provided during the spring season.
For any new to Ladner families or players who were not part of the LMBA family this past spring, please email our registrar for further information on joining the fall 2024 or spring 2025 programs.
2024 Coach / Umpire Applications
All those interested in acting as a coach (head or assistant) for the 2025 spring season will be required to submit a short application.
For anyone interested in umpiring during the 2025 year (any season), all courses are completed in the spring. We will begin collecting information from al interested parties in early 2025. All those born in 2014 or earlier are welcome to become an umpire.
2025 Spring Break Camp
Spring Break Camps are typically held for the 9U, 11U and 13U divisions led by 5Tool coaches. This popular 4 day camp is currently scheduled to take place from March 25-28 at Dugald Turf. The dates are subject to change.
Information for the 2025 camp will be shared in the new year.
General Registration Information
Registration for programs running in Fall 2024 and Spring/Summer 2025 will follow these age groupings:
5U/6U (Rally Cap) are players that were born in 2019 and 2020
7U (Super-T) are players that were born in 2018
9U (Tadpole) are players that were born in 2016 and 2017
11U (Mosquito) are players that were born in 2014 and 2015
13U (PeeWee) are players that were born in 2013 and 2014
15U (Bantam) are players that were born in 2010 and 2011
18U (Midget) are players that were born in 2007, 2008 and 2009
26U (Jr. Men's) are players that were born in years from 1999 to 2006
In order to ensure that all player requests are treated fairly, the LMBA employs the following policy:
- Player requests will be considered but are not guaranteed
- To ensure fair play, team balancing will take precedence over player requests
- Player requests can only be made by the player's legal guardian
- Coaches cannot request to have certain players on their teams
- One parent cannot make a group request, even if the players guardian consents
- Only player requests made prior to the making of the teams will be considered
- Player requests must be made in writing to Division Manager
- Siblings who request to play together will be given first priority
- There will be no movement of players once the teams have been made, unless there are exceptional circumstances
Spring Baseball Season (April – June):
- Withdrawal requests submitted up to the day before the start of the season will receive a refund of applicable player registration fees less the $50 non-refundable administration fee.
- Withdrawal requests submitted between April 1st and April 15th will receive a refund of 50% of the applicable player registration fees.
- No refunds will be issued after April 15th.
General Information Requests for withdrawals and refunds must be made via email to the registrar (registrar@ladnerminorbaseball.com).
Please include your child's name, division, coach/team, and reason for withdrawal.
Refunds will only be issued to the original purchaser and credit card used at registration. Do not use VISA/MC gift cards to pay for your registration as refunds can not be put back to these cards.
Withdrawal and refund requests due to residential move or season-ending injury will be considered at any time, be prorated and must be accompanied by supporting documents. Please contact the Registrar at registrar@ladnerminorbaseball.com.
