Challenger Baseball
The fundamental goal of the Challenger Division is to give everyone a chance to play, regardless of limitations.
LADNER MINOR BASEBALL CHALLENGER BASEBALL
LMBA is proud to host a new chapter of Challenger Baseball! Challenger Baseball, a division of Baseball BC, provides an adapted baseball experience for children with cognitive or physical disabilities to enjoy the full benefits of participation in baseball at a level structured to their abilities.
Aside from the physical benefits that come with playing a sport, the Challenger program gives children with disabilities the opportunity to be part of a team, to develop their social skills and friendships, as well as build their self-esteem and confidence. All players will be outfitted with team shirts and equipment. Games will be played on Saturdays at Dugald Turf in Ladner. Games are played in a fun, safe environment where scores are not kept. “Buddies” will be available to assist the Challengers run the bases, catch, throw, push wheelchairs – Buddies offer support for whatever our athletes need!
To register, please follow the Challenger Baseball link under our Divisions tab. Our philosophy is simple, play just for fun! We look forward to the start of the season! For more information, please contact the Division Coordinator, LeeAnn Neaves at secretary@ladnerminorbaseball.com
