Over the past week, the six 11U teams battled to take home the title of Tom Henderson Tournament champs and we were not disappointed. The Crush went undefeated all the way through to claim the title but they met some fierce competition along the way. The final game went today with the Crush up against the Bengals with both teams putting forward strong defensive endeavours. Ultimately the Crush managed to pull ahead and held the Bengals at bay with the final score of 6-2 to win the gold.

In the battle for third, the Yankees came ready to play against the strong contigent from the Blue Jays. The boys in grey got off to an early lead and didn’t look back. Earlier in the day, the Rockets pulled it out against the Navy Seals. Full tournament results can be found on the tournament page.

All six teams showcased strong sportsmanship throughout the week and were a true representation of the game. Thank you to all the coaches, fans and players for honouring the legacy of Tom Henderson with an amazing week of baseball.

A special thanks to Tom Henderson’s sister and mom for coming out to help hand out the medals to the final two teams. It was a privilege to have you at the park with us today.
